This project required a carefully considered approach to maximise the available opening width while working within the property’s existing structural constraints. The original timber frame had to remain in place as it forms a structural part of the building, meaning a standard installation wasn’t an option.

To overcome this, we installed a retractable steel-framed garage door system with full automation, mounting the steel frame to the rear of the existing timber structure. This allowed us to retain the building’s structural integrity while providing the customer with the maximum possible clearance for their vehicle.
